The Association for an Island Sinago (APSI) was created in August 1988. Twenty-one months later, the Crialéïs, a replica of the Sinago "Toy of the Waves," was launched. Built at the Guip shipyard, the Crialéïs exists thanks to the mobilization of the islanders, the Town Hall, and donors who worked together to ensure that Île aux Moines would have its own Sinago. Thirty-five years later, it is still there, moored in the harbor during the season or sailing, and anchored in front of "Chez Charlemagne" during the winter. Successively, Bernard, Michel, Robert, and Gilles, aided by numerous volunteers, have enabled the Crialéïs for 35 years to introduce thousands of people to our "little sea," to proudly represent Île aux Moines at classic sailing gatherings, and above all, to ensure the Crialéïs's upkeep.

Thanks to Daniel, a new activity has joined the association: sculling, the only means of propulsion for dinghies before the arrival of outboard motors. Two sessions per week from May to September, and participation in sculling competitions.

The association's resources are provided solely through membership fees.
